My work in AI started not with a job title but with a research question. Over a decade ago I was publishing in data mining and machine learning, including work on agentic frameworks, before those terms had entered mainstream technology vocabulary. That research is peer-reviewed, publicly available and now reads as early work on problems the industry is still solving.
For 14 years alongside that research, I owned and operated an IT consultancy. That work taught me something model benchmarks cannot: organisations rarely fail to adopt technology because the technology is inadequate. They fail because of how they are structured to absorb it. Incentive misalignment. Diffused decision authority. Governance disproportionate to actual risk. These are not technical problems.
I have also spent years teaching, from university data science courses to professional bootcamps, translating research-grade concepts into practice that working practitioners can apply. That instinct for translation is what eventually produced the Fast AI Deployment Framework: not a textbook, not a consulting deck, but a diagnostic instrument built for the people actually trying to get AI into production.
I now work as an AI Strategist and Advisor, currently as Head of AI and Data Engineering, and in advisory and research capacities beyond it. If you are navigating the space between AI ambition and AI production, that is exactly where my work lives.
